The UK is bracing for a massive snowfall expected to cover almost every region—except for two lucky areas.

According to WX Charts, which uses Met Desk data, a huge band of snow is set to sweep across England, Scotland, and Wales, bringing sub-zero temperatures and wintry conditions.

Snowfall Timeline & Impact

  • March 11: Snow is forecasted to stretch from Brighton to Newcastle, with some regions expecting 1cm of snowfall per hour.
  • Wales and Scotland are likely to escape the worst of the snow, according to current models.

Despite the incoming cold front, meteorologists say that spring-like conditions will persist in some areas. Terry Scholey, a weather expert from Netweather TV, noted that England and Wales will continue to enjoy mild weather early in the week before the cold snap takes over.

As temperatures plummet well below freezing, travel disruptions, icy roads, and school closures may follow. The Met Office is expected to issue further weather warnings as the snowstorm approaches.
