Our attention has been drawn to a “Disclaimer” publication by two government agencies, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), concerned with Nigerians in diaspora and the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), concerned with mortgages in Nigeria. The disclaimer was with regards to a new and innovative product our Proptech (Property Technology – the use of technology to improve the real estate industry) platform developed. Because we care deeply about the development and growth of our country and in the interest of nation-building, we have made the difficult decision not to respond in a way that will cause rancor and division. We are actively working on engaging in solving national problems and contributing to the growth of our dear nation.

Diaspora Mortgage Pre-Financing (DMPF) Facility by HX Africa is a financing model in partnership with Nigerians in Diaspora via Diaspora City in Delta State. This facility will help Nigerians at home and in Diaspora build and finance their dream homes.

We have received many inquiries about why NiDCOM inaccurately or mistakenly highlighted the internal planning discussions. The public relations department of NiDCOM should address all such inquiries. HX Africa chooses to believe the disclaimer was made in good faith and in an abundance of caution for the protection of all Nigerians. We are open to continued discussions with NiDCOM as we are in ongoing discussions with FMBN. Regardless, HX Africa is relentlessly passionate about affordable and quality homes for Nigerians.

However, it is regrettable that a step in the product development cycle involving gathering data from a sample of the target market using a “product information sheet” was either maliciously or mistakenly taken as a promotion. To be clear, HX Africa has never publicized or promoted this product with the name FMBN or NiDCOM. We are grateful to our fellow Nigerians for their overwhelming support, affirmation, and support. We assure you we will not rest, and we renew our commitment to quality affordable housing. Together, we will get it right. We owe it to our children. United we stand!

God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
